A Day of Rest

It is good to push yourself and stay active, but each week give your body a full day of rest.  This allows you to recover and prepare your body to reach new levels!  Not giving your body a day to rest can increase the risk of avoidable injuries.  That doesn't mean you can't take a relaxing walk or swim, it means, don't push yourself for a whole day, enjoy the rest and let your body heal.  I exercise for 6 days of the week and give myself Saturday off as a day to rest and enjoy my time elsewhere.  That is playing it smart.

Lavender Oil for Sore Muscles

Sometimes we push our bodies hard and reach new limits.  Hard work can take a toll.  Recently I was doing my daily push-ups and my shoulder had an odd popping feeling and it was sore the next day.  I knew it wasn't seriously harmed, but it bothered me none the less.  I continued with my routine, but I rubbed some pure therapeutic-grade Lavender Essential Oil on my shoulder and bathed that night with about 10 drops in my water.  I felt some immediate relief when I rubbed in the oil, but the next day I felt great again.  I continued for another day with the Lavender Oil to be safe and didn't have another problem.  It worked for me.  It might be worth a try for you.

If you would like to talk more about Pure Essential Oils and would like to know where I get mine, email me at kiproductsonline@gmail.com or TEXT me at 346-314-8770, please text because I may not answer phone calls.

Diamond Push-ups

Diamond Push-ups are more challenging for most people than regular push-ups, requiring a certain amount of balance and strength. You do Diamond Push-ups by placing your hands close together making a diamond-like shape between your fingers, and thumbs.  If you are not able to complete this exercise with that amount of spacing, then you can space your hands a bit farther apart. This type of Push-Up best works to build the middle of your chest, front shoulder muscles, triceps, along with other muscles.  If you are trying to improve the look of your chest then regular sessions of diamond Push-Ups are a great benefit to you.  Try working your way up to 30 push-ups a session, then maybe even farther beyond if you are able.  Know your limits!

Work-Out Music

Some days I can get naturally pumped up and motivated for a work-out, but other days I feel far less motivated and need an extra push. Music can be an excellent source of energy for your routine. Try creating a list that will tap into your feelings, that will motivate you, or even fuel your emotions to give you that extra shove you may need.

Some songs on my personal playlist are:
When Legends Rise by Godsmack
Youth of the Nation by P.O.D.
Higher by Creed
Don't Stop Dancing by Creed
Shine Down by Godsmack
Realign by Godsmack
Call Me by Shinedown
Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down
Warrior's Lullaby by Nickelback

Find a playlist that works for you and add it to your routine. Push yourself with what it takes, and don't give up!
